Did you know that visualisation is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do? They say that if you envision your goals, you’re more likely to achieve them.
So when I woke up this morning, on Monday 1st January 2018, I smiled to myself as I thought of all the goals I want to achieve this year. I got out of bed, grabbed my keys and drove to Tesco. Why? To create a vision board!
After buying all the magazines I could find, I poured them all out onto my table at home and cut out the images and words that related to my goals. I then printed off some more motivational images from my laptop and pinned them all to a cork board.
As you can see, I purposely left space on the board so that I can add to it throughout the year. January is a great time to create a vision board as it’s the month of new beginnings but it doesn’t mean you can’t make new goals on other days of the year too. I think it’s always good to have plans to focus on.
My vision board is currently hung above my bed and I intend on looking at it every single morning to remind myself of all the things I AM GOING TO achieve this year.
The whole thing cost less than a tenner so if you’ve got a spare few pounds, why not create your own vision board? You know what they say, a goal without a plan is just a wish. So envision, plan and achieve! That’s what I’ll be doing.
Happy New Year!
