So it’s the end of the summer, the colder and darker evenings are coming in, the chunky knits are coming out and if you’re anything like me, the motivation to work-out is slowly dwindling.
At the beginning of every summer, I always start a new fitness regime and manage to stick to it throughout, but I always find myself putting on a few pounds by the time September comes around. Yesterday, as I watched yet another episode of Grey’s Anatomy from the comforts of my sofa, I looked down at my belly – and what used to be my abs only a few weeks ago – and decided enough was enough. I opened up Pinterest on my phone, searched for some fitness motivation and got back onto my cross-trainer…which was beginning to grow cobwebs in the corner of the living room! Then, I threw the remaining biscuits from the jar into the bin and started doing a Fitness Blender workout on Youtube. I felt soooo much better! Obviously changes don’t happen in a day, my abs and quads aren’t quite visible again yet, but by taking only one step at a time and changing your mindset, you can feel oh-so-much better about yourself. This morning when I woke up, I went on a 5km jog with my dog too (I’d mainly been sticking to walking with him these last couple of weeks).
Anyway, that’s my story of how these fitness quotes motivated me to get off my butt and do something good for myself and my body. I’ve collected them together and posted them on here to help YOU do something good for your health today. I hope they motivate you as much as they did me!
