Today’s review is about a beautiful pub & restaurant tucked away in the Sussex countryside – The Star Inn, Norman’s Bay.
If you’ve had a look around my blog, you’ll know that I have an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Billy who I like to take with me everywhere! Today we drove to Norman’s Bay with my family and found The Star Inn, a cosy cottage-like pub hidden down the country lanes of the South East. After walking through the car park with the stunning views of Pevensey Marsh behind us, we crossed a beautiful little bridge situated in the middle of the pub garden and sat ourselves down on one of the many tables outside. There were multiple water bowls placed around the garden for dogs, and a big water barrel where customers could fill up the water bowls themselves.
The service and food was great – I had steak and chips, and the rest of my family had scampi and chips. The portions were perfect and served within 15 minutes of ordering, which suited us well. We also got a free drink and dessert with our meal.
The greatest part of The Star Inn was definitely the picturesque scenery, including the stunning and flowery garden. It’s also only a few seconds walk from the beach which was great for us as we took Billy there and walked off our dinners.
All in all, I would give The Star Inn 5* and will definitely be going back there again with friends, family and dogs!
